Celebrations have arrived in Fairy Hollow, with the pretty blooms and flowing ribbons dancing in the breeze. At the centre of the festivities stands the maypole with a tiny fairy tucked amongst the flowers. Inspired by traditional village celebrations but adopted by the fairy folk as part of their woodland activities this design gives a little glimpse into the Hollow and its inhabitants.
The design is screen printed onto a hand dyed subtle blue 46 count linen, and is accompanied by a thread card loaded with all of the DMC threads needed to stitch this embroidery kit.
This embroidery is suitable for stitchers of all abilities. The stitches range from simple lazy daisies to a little satin stitch - best achieved with good light and some patience!
This design does use a peach coloured pencil - my favourite is the Caran D’ache Luminance Brown Ochre 10% - you can purchase these pencils as open stock (individual ones) from art suppliers like Jackson Art. I keep this one in my embroidery kit all the time!
